React Developer

Job Location: Atlanta, GA (remote if they are on the east coast) Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

• A curious mindset and problem-solving mentality are key. Need someone who can be collaborative.
• Need someone who can work independently (Sr. Level) and who can also lead/mentor some of the junior developers (big plus)
• Need to understand the business domains and how it relates to supply chain (if they come in with it that's great, but if not need to learn it)
• Ultimately goes back to the collaborative mindset. Prior to COVID there was a lot of pairing in the office, now only pairing when required. Need someone who can talk thru the work they produce and be able to take feedback and work within a productive environment which is all done in a positive way.

Technical:

• React front end, kotlin – not needed, Java is key and someone who can learn Kotlin, PostgreSQL Cloud DB, GCP experience, and need someone who understand Web API's.

Top three skills:

• React, Java, then GCP
• Still supporting some legacy cobalt and java mainframe applications.
• Can pick up these skills as they go

Education:

• College Degree nice to have, not ultimately needed

Tasks:

• New development/enhancements will be primarily 70% of the job, and 30% continuous maintenance. Ultimately, they rotate the support of products on a bi-weekly basis across the team. Stories are prioritized by Product Owners and everything centered around enhancements on the tool.
