Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking (JCIB) supports Japanese corporate clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Working closely with colleagues across MUFG's global network, including Japan, the team delivers a broad range of banking solutions and supports clients in achieving their strategic objectives.

During the internship, you will gain practical experience across a range of corporate banking activities, including:

• Support the preparation of client presentations, proposals and meeting materials.


• Conduct company, industry and market research.


• Assist with credit analysis, portfolio monitoring and internal reporting.


• Support client relationship activities and strategic business initiatives.


• Collaborate with colleagues across Banking, Credit, Operations and other business areas.

• Exposure to international corporate banking and financial markets.


• Exposure to Japanese corporate culture and business practices, and cross-border collaboration between Japan and EMEA


• Insight into credit and risk management processes.


• Professional skills development through training, mentoring and networking opportunities.


• Experience working in a collaborative and multicultural environment

• Be in the final year of master’s degree (final year internship).


• Fluent in English and Italian (verbal and written language skills); Japanese is also strongly preferred


• Have a strong interest in financial markets

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Be proactive, motivated and able to work effectively within a team.


• Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.


• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
